Learn how to run groups and create performances that are inclusive of people with disabilities, the LGBTQNI+ community, and people of all backgrounds and identities.
Writing a great song isn't an insurmountable challenge. When you know the story you want to tell and the journey you want to take your listener on, the rest starts to flow. We look at verses, choruses, hooks, band musicians, soloists, backing vocalists and everything that might negate what you decide to keep in and what you decide to throw out. You'll have fund but best of all you'll learn how to write your very own songs.
Conducting choirs and ensembles can be incredibly joyous when you know how. You’ll learn how to gain clarity in your conducting style, how to conduct singers who can read sheet music, (treble and bass clef) as well as those who can’t. You’ll cover all sorts of choral music ranging from SSA to SAB and SSAATTBB, to 2 part song and 8 part music and learn how to bring out the best in your singers whilst bringing the music to life. You’ll cover simple time signatures such as 4/4 and 3/ 4 as well as more complex time signatures including 5/4, 7/8 and learn how to explain more complex rhythms and melodies to your singers and teach them how to create a fantastic sound whilst enjoying their experience. Lots of genres covered including classical, pop, folk, original, spiritual, gospel and different languages.
Aneesa’s workshops are for those who want to learn and have fun together. She can help your team work in harmony through singing, your friends get ready to busk at Christmas, or your mates put together a Flashmob for a friend’s birthday. Full-day and half-day options are available.

Singers sing alone and with one another, exploring personal development, technique and different genres of music. Topics covered include lyric learning, how to read music, breathing, practising properly, powerful performances, audience engagement and much more. Come and join a friendly group and improve your skills.
Inside or outdoors, get ready to busk at Christmas, or perform a Flashmob. You can guarantee you’ll have a great time.

Aneesa runs fun and joyful workshops for your staff which leave your team buzzing with energy and bursting with learning. After some fun warm up exercises, Aneesa arranges you as a choir and teaches some simple songs which the group learn, by ear, to sing in two, four and even eight -part harmony. She then coaches the choir and draws out lessons for the workplace.
The musical model of a choir is a great teacher of corporate skills: people have to take risks; learn how to blend their voices together; let one part of the team lead and the others follow and then swap; and support and include less confident members of the group. They learn the power of intent when singing, and how to increase impact through strong coordination and good attention.
Aneesa then facilitates structured reflection so that you can bring all of these lessons into the workplace.
